Andrew is one of the directors and a founder of K2 Financial Services in 2004. Born in Hythe in Kent, he started work in the financial services industry when he was 20 at City Assurance in Wimbledon, before gaining experience with Equity & Law, Co-op Bank Financial Advisors, Britannia Life & Bupa. Following this, he moved to Chadwicks IFA's where he first met James Cree, now his fellow director at K2. Prior to setting up K2 he worked at Johnson Harding IFA's.
He qualified as an Independent Financial Adviser in his own right in 1984 and over the years has developed a vast amount of experience and knowledge that enables him to give very sound professional advice. He has significant knowledge of the Care sector, and is extremely proficient in the investment, retirement and inheritance planning areas of advice.
James has worked in the financial sector all of his career, starting work in one of the main high street banks, before developing his skills and knowledge in the commercial mortgage department at Aviva and then at Virgin, before becoming the compliance officer at The Money Centre. He was headhunted by Andrew and offered a place at K2, which also involved becoming a director. He has in depth knowledge of the compliance requirements of the business, as well as a huge amount of experience in the mortgage market, with many contacts that enable the business to place most mortgages. He graduated with the Institute of Credit Management in 2001.
Jane is Andrew's wife and has been with K2 since the business was established in 2004. She started working in the insurance industry with Sun Allianceand worked in the insurance department of John Lewis before leaving to have a family. Prior to joining K2 she worked in the finance department at Aylsham High School. She is responsible for the financial management of the business, and making sure that this is kept in a satisfactory position from a regulatory point of view as well as undertaking other general administrative duties
Caroline is James's wife and has been with K2 on a part-time basis since 2010. She is responsible for administration in the business with particular emphasis on ensuring accurate reporting of cases to the compliance network for the business.
Mike joined K2 in July 2013, and is a fully qualified Independent Financial Adviser and Mortgage Adviser. He completed the appropriate examinations to become a mortgage adviser in December 2013, swiftly followed by those which enable him to provide full investment advice. He is also qualified to give advice on Equity Release. Mike worked for a major high street bank for 30 years, the last 12 of these as a commercial manager, so has significant experience in the commercial finance and mortgage sectors as well drawing up business plans to obtain finance. He is also a qualified bookkeeper.
